The premium land of Gurgaon hosts this small family of three on a builder floor plate. The 2700 sq ft of space comprises a 3 BHK, a living-dining on a vertical stretch and a terrace garden for time off evenings with closed ones. The client marked us on a google search. A brief site visit and a simplified conversation about our work style and design approach embarked a journey to these results in a matter of the day. Mr Gaur planned to relocate to Gurgaon from another part of the NCR with his loved ones and desired a need for some expert opinions that could enhance the living experience of his new home. Having visited multiple retailers and designers, he zeroed down to MADS in no time. Holding onto the trust he shared, we executed this project within a span of 3 months.
The builder floor was semi furnished and the designers jotted down a requirement for an end to end solutions which included – furniture, wall enhancements & accessorization and decor. Our clients had an execute taste for modern luxury. Our focus was on to enhance the house with functional custom-made furniture from our in-house manufacturing and to match the aesthetics with the deliverables of the builder.
The design approach revolved around picking a subtle colour palette, grandeur materials and finishes. With the play of rich materials and optimum illumination, focus on the styling of the house for giving the end look perfect was the major player in this project.
Minimal use of false ceiling and warm lights is going for us- a feature for residential design. A statement chandelier piece was installed above the formal dining table. Some features in pelmet to drop the artistic shadows on the curtains add to the overall appearance. The additional warm glow was added by opulent decorative nightstand lamps, wall hung mood lights and pendant lights. To make the areas have a warm and cosy feel, we proposed wood lookalike coverings that also helped in defining the spaces visually.
The space planning :
Entry of the house opens into the foyer area adjacent to spacious formal living & dining area. The living and dining combined in the vertical alignment lead to the balcony for great evenings. The marble installation on the common wall and accent accessories grabs the attention. The Kids bedroom is minimal yet fun and quirky with bed and interactive study table on the adjacent wall & a lit up bookshelf with natural stone grain in the backdrop of the unit. Master bedroom caters the space for seating for two, a sleek study table corner, vanity dressing area, TV console and a king size bed with generous circulation space.
