Trends fluctuate. One day it might be the flavor of the season; the next day it might be down in the dumps. The difficulty is one cannot change interiors at the drop of a hat. It’s expensive, tedious and impractical. That’s why whenever you decide to design an interior luxurious space, it’s important to do your research well. There are certain rules and styles, which are evergreen. They never look dated nor do they fade with time.
One such everlasting trend is the color brown. It has been in the pages of interior designs for ages. It is versatile, so the scope for experimentation is vast. Also brown being a neutral color, it easily gels in well with a whole palette.
Brown also is one of those colors which is also the color of the earth or wood or stone. What we mean to say is, that its essence lies more in nature. It’s like bringing a piece of earth into your very own homes. Brown is also considered to be a color of maturity, elegance security and even healing. It warm, it’s neutral and it makes a statement without even trying.
It also somehow has an effect on our mood too. It subconsciously makes one feel at peace and exudes warmth, relaxation and satisfaction.
Now with so many positive vibes, why would anyone find reasons not to choose the luxurious interior décor color – BROWN.
The beauty of the color brown is that; it just doesn’t have to come from paint. It could be materials like wood, or your furnishings or even your furniture. If you have a brown colored wall it’s intelligent to mix it with white. What happens then is that the color brown is accentuated and it instantly spikes up your interior luxury décor quotient. So you could actually have white and cream, (a lighter shade of brown) as curtains. While the white will allow more natural light to stream in, the color brown will preserve the elegance of the space.
You can choose to go for furniture that is either white or a few shades paler, like cream. Throw some pillows of the same brown color as that of the walls onto the couch. And see the place come alive. If you really want to keep it slightly modern, we suggest you skip the wood furniture. Go for more straight lines and choose materials that are more modern.
Now that the walls and the furniture are done, the next important aspect is the floor. Nothing spells super luxury, uber elegant than wood floors. Choose a color that is a few shades lighter than that of the wall. This will instantly brighten up your space and make it look bigger too.
In case you do not want the walls to be painted chocolate brown, you could go for a white or a cream. If that’s your preference, then we would suggest that you choose a tan brown couch and elegant understated and luxurious curtains. The hardwood floor is a good bet no matter what the rest of the color scheme is.
In case you are feeling slightly adventurous, you could dump the white and go for slightly more vibrant color like sapphire, emerald green or turquoise.
Whatever you might choose make sure to research well before you take the plunge.
